Serves as a GS-11 level liaison between the Programming Director and the broader USAGM front office during a critical time of transition. Independently operates as the Accountability Officer for VOA’s Global Mandarin service, while spearheading most of the agency’s graphic design duties. Acts as the 2020-2022 head fellow for a corresponding PMF team through instructing key leadership development competencies to peers.

Designs and teaches an online course on specific case studies within the field of international relations, aimed at preparing high school students in China for the demands of US and UK university coursework. Provides core feedback and pedagogical tools for students to improve their academic essay writing abilities in English, as well as guidance on the scholarship standards unique to IR.

Worked at Cushman & Wakefield’s top investment sales team in Manhattan — The Knakal Group (formerly Massey Knakal). Under the supervision of chairman Bob Knakal, was directly involved in the marketing and brokerage of several multi-million dollar portfolios in the New York Metropolitan Area.
2016. Professional Research Assistant, Duke University, Durham, NC
Collected and analyzed extensive survey data on public opinions of international security organizations and how these affect state decisions to go to war. Eventually extended this project into a senior honors thesis, which constituted the first ever undergraduate-led research paper in the department’s history to conduct a public opinion survey experiment with such a large, representative and statistically reliable sample of subjects.
2015. Trade Specialist, U.S. Dept. of Commerce, Washington, DC.
Working under the Obama administration in the Office of Trade Agreements Negotiations and Compliance (TANC), single-handedly resolved several customs legislation disputes in Latin America, and orchestrated the most recent round of WTO TBT Committee meetings. Investigated crucial transparency problems in several of the US Free Trade Agreements currently in place, briefing the relevant Desk Officers and foreign government representatives on how to improve these.
2014. Research Associate, CIECODE, Madrid, Spain
Main project(s) at this major Spanish think tank involved extensive research and reporting on the status of business-related human rights in European Union countries (including a paper recently accepted for publication), as well as co-conducting teaching seminars on good research practices for human rights investigations.
2013. International Trade Intern, US Foreign Commercial Service, Madrid
Helped US companies and investors identify core commercial opportunities by producing international market research reports on the medical and tourism industries. Organized the first-ever SelectUSA Investment Summit in Washington, DC, as well as a US trade mission to Spain for the government of Miami-Dade county. Provided technical assistance with several other FCS Spain services by translating documents and acting as an interpreter in meetings.
